The National Social Security Institute (NSSI) hosted an official visit of a delegation from the State Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan (SSPF). The purpose of the visit was to deepen cooperation and sign an Action Plan for the implementation of the current Memorandum of Understanding for 2025-2026 between the two institutions. The plan includes a schedule for a number of exchange meetings and webinars, where current topics will be discussed and knowledge and good practices will be exchanged. On behalf of the NSSI, the document was signed by the Governor of the Institute, Vesela Karaivanova. On behalf of the visiting country, Matin Asgar, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of SSPF, signed under it.

During the talks between the participants in the meeting, key issues related to the current challenges facing the social security systems of both countries were discussed, including in the context of the rapid development of new technologies. The NSSI presented the implemented and ongoing projects for the digitalization of the systems. The national system for short-term benefits serviced by the institute was also presented. The guests shared their achievements in terms of digitalization and indicated what they consider to be the current prospects for development in this area.

Among the topics discussed were the control over compliance with social security legislation and the effectiveness of the fight against fraud in the field of social security.
